Q can mean Questioning, when someone is still figuring out their sexuality/gender identity. It can also mean Queer, which was originally an insult specifically to gay men. The whole community is now reclaiming the term, and it can be used for any LGBT+ person on the spectrum (eg. ‘The queer community’). Some people choose to identify as Queer and nothing else.

Q means Queer, means your questioning yours sexuality and/or gender, and A can mean Ally or Asexual, Ally meaning you support LGBT and Asexual means you don’t feel sexually attracted to anyone.
