Sorry if this is too over dramatic, but it's been on my mind lately.
Last Friday, we had a substitute teacher. She was African and had an accent. The whole day, the stupid ghetto kids kept making fun of her accent and saying that one Jamaican word that means a bad word (idk if i can say it on here) She wasn't even Jamaican.
I think it really bothered me because my mother is from her country, so that makes me African too. I already get bullied enough for my skin color. It just breaks my heart for the ghetto kids to make fun of other peoples cultures, too- specifically my culture. Everyone in my class that heard it kept brushing it off but I keep thinking about it, and I'm all like GROW UP. It's a dang accent, the world we live in is very diverse. You're going to see different cultures everywhere you go, so instead of making fun of them learn about them.
And on top of all that, they're all black. IT'S YOUR OWN KIND, MAN!
