Should I get my ears pierced?

Question

Okay so, me and my mom went to Claires to look for clip on (or magnetic) earrings. I bought some (fake) diamond earrings and my mom couldn’t stop raving about how pretty they were. I looked in the mirror and I had to agree they were absolutely beautiful on me. My mom keeps asking “want me to make an appointment to get your ears pierced?” and I keep telling her “not yet....”. We found out that our pediatrician can pierce ears so I honestly think that would be a safe option with a low risk I get my ears infected. Now here’s the most important bit:  with shots my tolerance is low. (This is embarrassing, but I always cry) My mom said ear piercings hurt more than shots, so I really don’t know if I should do it. I do honestly want to do it, but my gut says “Dude, you’re gonna get there and chicken right out”. I’m 9 years old (Apparently I write in a quite mature manner according to my teacher?)  most of my friends have their ears pierced, but I don’t know. Another thing to consider, waiting a year is a HUGE NO because for my 10th birthday I have to get a bunch of shots (ugh), but um excuse me no way am I going to get more then. 

Sorry about the rant.... (Hey it felt good to get it out there.) Anyway, thoughts?

Hey I'm getting my ears pierced two and it's a bit painful but the pain will go away after a few seconds, my friends have their ears pierced and they say that the ones that hang down are really fun to wear! So ya you would probably want to get your ears pierced!

I’m 10! :D and for me, ear piercing doesn’t hurt! I got mine years ago, and honestly, shots hurt more then the piercing! I may be wrong since it was years ago, but I don’t remember anything like kicking my legs, crying, etc! I hope this helps,

I got my ear piercings when I was a few months old. I was told that I didn’t cry. I think you’ll be fine.

The older you get the more painful! I got mine done at Claire's when I was eight - my sister cried, but I have a high pain tolerance so I was just like o ____ o lol. The gun piercer hurts really bad. If you want earrings, it's better to get it now because like I said, the more you wait the more painful it gets.

I would get real earrings clip in’s hurt every time you wear them but when you are pierced it only hurts at the piercing I am someone who knows. I actually made a graph lol!
