How am I supposed to download KidzSearch on Windows???

I can't find a KidzSearch executable online, and the Microsoft Store refuses to let me download it. I know I can download it on BlueStacks, but BlueStacks downloads random apps I don't even want, like the now.gg app. Android (which BlueStacks is based on) doesn't work well on computers.

It is only available from the Amazon app store. However, Windows integrates with it, but you need to install some updates. You should see a message like, "get from Amazon Appstore" when you search the Microsoft Store with a link to install the required Windows updates. However, you need a current version of Windows and an Amazon account.

We hope to have a Chrome extension out soon that will give you a similar experience with less requirements.

It seems you’ve tried Android side loading, but it didn’t work well.

Well, there isn’t a way, since you can only download the KidzSearch app. You can (probably) set KidzSearch as your default search engine though. Anyways, what browser do you use?

I also sometimes use Flash Browser, which is based on Chrome.

Okay, so you can make KidzSearch your default search engine. I’ve (somehow) done it before. In case you don’t know how to change your search engine, I might as well tell you.

1. Click the three dots in the top right hand corner of Chrome.

2. Click Settings.

3. Go to the search engine section.

4. Click “Manage search engines”.

5. Scroll down until you see the list of search engines. Click the pencil for one of them (preferably one you don’t use” and click Edit.

6. Now, take the URL of KidzSearch and paste it under Shortcut. Save.

This might not be completely accurate as I wrote the tutorial using my school Chromebook to do the steps.
