FEAR PROBLEMS

I am scared of mirrors. I can't have my back to one. I think that there will be a picture appearing in the mirror of me but my face will be scary like a monster of me and it will come out and attack me without me knowing it. Also, at night whenever I close my eyes all I can see is scary, nightmares and pictures of monsters, knives, and bloody bodies. I am so scared please help!

I also have a fear of mirrors and I can't even look in them. Try exposing yourself to it in the daytime, with the light on and someone in.a near by room or ask someone ro stand in the doorway while you try to comquer your fear. As for night mares, use a night light and play calming music such as classical to help you get to sleep. I also have nightmares every night so I watch a little kid show or something else funny and silly on Netflix or hulu before I go to bed. This helps me dream of silly things. :) if you believe in God, pay to him to keep you safe whatever you are, even with your back to a mirror, and to replace your night mares with nice dreams. Also, make sure you are not watching scary movies, shows, videos, reading books, or looking at scary commercials. Even if you watch them in the day time, they will scare you when it turns night time and then you will dream about it.

Just think about it slowly. What are the chances a monster will be in your mirror?

Try taking things slow to get over this problem. For example, you can look at yourself in the smallest mirror you can find, or even just the reflection off a window. Gradually do more each day. You will get over it. Trust me.

Use the same technique. Have your back to the smallest thing you can find that has a reflection. Gradually increase it to a bigger item.
