My mom is WAAY 2 overprotective

Guys I don't mean overprotective I mean OVERPROTECTIVE. Guess what happened today? I went into my room and my mom said I'm not allowed 2 go 2 my room w any device with me cuz she's scared I might watch p***. I've never proved to my mom that I do that kind of stuff and I never will. I have and will never watch p***. GROSS!!! And no I'm not exaggerating. My mom said this herself. If I want to go on my phone, iPad, or computer I have to do it in the living room in front of my parents. This is 2 much.

Its for your own good, if you did end up doing that it is addictive and you could end up doing that till ur like 35 and it can mess up peoples lives pretty bad

So they are just trying to protect you

Idk, I feel like being forced to show everything you're doing online to someone else really sucks, and their pain is understandable. I mean, Privacy is important. Besides, just because someone doesn't want to show everything they do online to another individual does not mean you are doomed to waste your life on technology to the age of 35. It can be addictive, but that is you're fault. You guys are treating this like its 100% or 0%, when really there are levels. perhaps a good example is limiting screen time, or maybe just going outside every now and then? Plus, now that school is starting its not like they can be on it 100% of the time.

(them using 2 way too much is still a crime tho.)

My mom is overprotective too. But I can go into a room by myself. Just not with friends for some reason. But I wasn't told about somethings til I was like 10 but I feel as if that is ok.
