The gunslinger then drew his custom Socom and blew the mercenary to bits. But a second rumbling and the door was kicked down. 63 shot a stun bullet and knocked down the gunslinger. He then dragged him out of the room and deprived him of that fistful of dollars. They cleared out the house and started moving in cots and medical equipment as a temporary hospital. Outside, Marines began arriving in droves, and Pelicans dropped in parts for walls. A few Marines were mounting defense turrets, when a lone Banshee flew over the base. “Banshee inbound, 1 o’clock high!” “Gauss ready!” “Cobra in position!” The Banshee was racked with shots from all directions, and blasted apart on impact on the ground. The Marines relished their victory with jeering mockery, until the crumpled hatch of the Banshee fell off and a Spartan emerged. The Marines heard loud engine noises, and more Banshees were arriving. Several plasma rounds rocked the Cobra, and the operator managed to jump out before it blew to smithereens. A Warthog Sedan that had drove in with Marines managed to deploy its troops before getting shot. Suddenly, a hole in the sky opened and a Covenant CCS Class Battle Cruiser appeared, and started firing Plasma Torpedoes at the base. Part of the door immediately got shot and fell down, and a Polycrete watchtower that had just been erected was blown apart, showering the Marines with fragments. The Marines ran toward a armory, and started picking up weapons until another Plasma Torpedo hit part of the building, causing a collapse in the shooting range. But the Marines found a shopping cart and piled the ammo and guns in, with one Marine riding in a mop bucket cart providing covering fire with a rocket launcher. The Marine then fired himself onto a Banshee, beating out the Elite, who attempted to stab the Marine with a energy knife, who in blocked the hit with a grenade, which blew the Elite out of the cockpit. The Marine then flew the wounded Banshee into the battlecruiser, which took it out of the sky.
