63 woke up, and looking through his shattered, bloodstained visor, looked at the melted globs of enemy and ally. A wounded Elite dragging itself attempted to stab 63, but ended up stabbing a can of oil, killing it and turning it into a camp fire. 63, dragging his wounded body near it. He pulled out his cooking kit, and heated up a cup of water. He then noticed that one of his kidneys fell out, and he saw the amount of blood he lost. Suddenly, a grunting noise was heard and a Brute Chieftain with a large metal hammer narrowly missed 63. He then managed to snipe it in its head with a damaged rifle on the ground. 63 then attempted to unclip his armor, but a Spike Rifle’s spike shot had pinned the armor to his body, and it hurt coming out then it did going in. His armor plate dropped and shattered, as impacts from hundreds of Needlers, spikes, and plasma rounds. He then pulled off his helmet, where the back portion shattered, and because of all the electrical systems and radio were in it, there was no way 63 could communicate. He then saw the gaping hole in his chest, sighed, and sat against the burnt out chassis of a Warthog. He slowly fell asleep, and he looked at the world, one last time.

The Spartan and the Marines finished the film, and then looked at the state of the surviving Marines. A few more already died, and the still able bodied Marines carried them out. The rest moved away from the now out fire, and moved their cooking equipment to a new campfire, which was just the burning corpse of a grunt. The Marine heard one of the other Marines talk about 63, when all of a sudden, a blip appeared on the Spartans radar. The Spartan found 63, unconscious, and his little fire had been burning for a while. “Radio for VTOL. Medevac gear. We have a wounded ODST, and we ain’t leaving him here.” “Yeah, you ain’t”. 63 attempted to stand up, tripped, and was caught by the Spartan. The Spartan carried the mortally wounded 63 to the base.
Meanwhile, the Marines were hearing the CO telling a curse laden story about the encounter with the tunnel, until the Spartan slapped him on the back of his head and told the little group that their CO was tired and wasn’t thinking properly. The CO then went to rest while the Spartan sat down. Meanwhile, in what was left of the medbay, the medic managed to patch up 63, and 63 got off the operating table, went back out into the wasteland, and retrieved his armor. He suited up, repairing the armor with Flex-Seal and Flex-Tape, and cramming the electronics into his helmet, requiring it, and using Flex-Seal, fixed the hole. He then put on his helmet, and dealt with the hole in the visor and the chips and nicks that left the helmet. He picked up his Socom and his bandolier of grenades, which he clipped to himself. He holstered his firearm and went back to base.
The Spartan told a much watered down story of the encounters in the tunnel, when all of a sudden, a mortally bleeding ODST stumbled into the base, and collapsed. The Medic dragged him into the Medbay, and the Spartan retrieved his helmet, taking the video chip out and watching the footage. It revealed that a simple firefight erupted in a full scale battle, when the ODST was hit by… a 90mm shell. It turned out that due to the close proximity of the fighting, friendly fire had occurred and that’s how the ODST got to the base. The Spartan felt something whiz past his head, and it was a spike from a Spike Rifle. The CO at this time woke up and ran up from his blanket, buckling his armor and grabbing a battle rifle from what’s left of the armory. He shot the brute with the spike rifle, and then saw the largest invasion force ever. There was no time to think. The remains of the melted base were all that stood in the way of a fragile state of peace. The CO ordered the Marine and the Spartan to rebuild as many positions as they could, and prepare for battle. Suddenly, sandbags came out of nowhere, Pelicans hoisting supplies for walls dropped in. Heavy machine guns and missile pods were redeployed, Marines grabbed remaining weapons, and dug in for a new future, one that involved living on a sea of glass.
A fleet of Covenant battlecruisers approached the base, but the Spartan had already clipped 5 tactical nukes onto himself, then drove a Warthog off a nearby cliff and into the sky. Firing up his jetpack, he grabbed his shotgun and smashed feet first into one of the boarding craft. He then started smashing apart and elites and grunts who ere in his way, took out a Jackal with his own shield, and continued to the engine room. He then took off a nuke and Kobe Bryanted it into one of the engines. He then jumped back out the same boarding craft, grabbing a elite as he went out, and set off the nuke, which damaged the other four ships. The crumpled elite then crawled aside, and the Spartan then jumped back into the sky, repeated what he did, and destroyed the fleet. He did manage to find a manual override for the gravity lift, and he activated it to “glass” or to vaporize the Covenant’s own troops. But he didn’t notice a gravity hammer coming down on him, which he turned around, barely dodged it, and blew the brute to pieces. But then a volley of spike shot, plasma rounds, plasma grenades, and pink shards smashed into the Spartans armor. He activated his jetpack, grabbed a rusty rocket launcher, and started obliterating the Covenant. He then fell back to the ground, grabbed his shotgun, and pumped lead into his enemy, they were the ones who had taken away his friends and families living privileges, anyway. But then a final shot from a grunt did it. The Spartan fell to the ground. He was then trampled on by the invading Covenant.
