Blair Aubrey and the Mystery of the Flame Steers
The school towered over her nervous form, her grey eyes directed at its huge tall towers.
"Sorting time! Do you know how we are sorted, by the way?" Courtney Appleburn from beside Blair. Blair shrugged as thsy emerged in the stoney inside of the castle.
"Ooh! New students!" said one of the ghosts. She had a long lacey, see through dress and a large hat. "I'm Maria Hesty-Gracejov, the Irischea House ghost!"
"Nice to meet you," Blair murmured hastily. Maria smiled and floated away.
"ALL FIRST YEARS! ALL FIRST YEARS IN THE DINING HALL!" called Professor Moody, his light green eyes so unlike his uncle's: Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody.
Blair, Courtney, and five other first years entered the hall. Moody held up a list that was no shorter than a post-it sticky note and called,
"Appleburn, Courtney!"
Courtney's long blond hair fanned out behind her as she approached the staff table. Moody set a tiny creature on her shoulder, which went into her ear and out the other, saying, "SKYHANGYO!" The others clapped as Courtney went off to join the Skyhangyos, and then it was Blair's turn. As the creature squeezed through her ear, she realized it was traveling through her mind. It cried,
"CANCELGRACE!"
Blair stood up and joined the others.
