Derps army was gone.
Red team was dead.
Blue team was dead.
Everything was gone.
Bases unloaded.
No one was living. Dead by hunger. Dead by freezing. No one made it to take the supplies. No one alive was left to man the guns. No one had learned anything about the other side. The other side was completely deserted and the questioning side barely knew this. Thieves leeched off the supplies on the remaining side. There was one man left. After another mortifying 4 weeks, the remaining soldier died alone, beholden to nothing but a metal box and no one to aid his painful death. When MP (Military Police) were sent to investigate, they saw frozen corpses of bodies in the no mans land beyond each trench. The ghostly figures of frozen bodies, still clinging to their positions, sleeping on the stairs, manning machine guns. More bodies were frozen in puddles scattered throughout the trenches, and bodies of soldiers that got tangled in barbed wire who struggled in it were in the exact position as they died. Frozen pools of blood surrounded bodies, and the remaining soldier that was alive 5 weeks ago had propped himself against a wall of a trench. Unshaven and looking disheveled, the soldier’s eyes were covered by his helmet. He had a metal box, dented, labeled in barely visible white paint, J.B Applewhite. Recently, fresh snow had fallen, and had covered the soldier. His eyes, staring intently forward, looked to a life of eternal misery, he was still clutching his rifle, and was wearing his stained and ripped uniform. It seemed as though he had been a sentry, intended to keep watch for an event. The soldier even had extra magazines and grenades clipped to his suspenders, but he died. One of the MPs asked if a medic was nearby, but the medic they found had died as well. A huge chunk of his chest was missing, and it was as though a cookie cutter had cut through his chest and uniform. There were visible marks of knifes on the medics face, and on a rotting stretcher lay a sergeant with a pistol in hand, half cocked, with several rounds on the ground. Moving forward, the MP discovered some bits of trench with dugouts filled with the dead. More of the frozen manning machine guns, another couple of soldiers buried in snow, with crossed arms, trying to block out the cold. But then, at the area where there was an artillery emplacement, an undead soldier was found by the MP, who questioned the soldier intensely, but the only thing the soldier could utter was “Cyro”. All of sudden, the MP were frozen alive.
