The escape
But this distress signal wasn’t picked up for a whole week. On the second week, the signal was received. This time, however, the signal was picked up by the enemy. At least it seemed like it. But the 63 knew for sure when a large purple ship appeared out of the sky, and it was coming straight for the 63.
But 63 knew that everyone and everything on the ship would learn about earth if they were to advance any further. But there would be no way to get rid of the ship. It was far too big for any damage to be done by the armor piercing rounds 63 had for his pistol. The MA5 sucked at long range, and a Warthog turret would do nothing but make the armor of the ship look like a honeycomb. Unless there was a cannon of some sort, a rockethog, (a variant of the Warthog with the turret replaced by a cannon), a rocket launcher, or plasma grenades. And even then, there was little hope to destroy the entire ship along with the potential risk of being killed by grunts, elites, and even worse, brutes. But 63 had to think, quick, and he hastily constructed a cannon out of metal parts found on the ground. He constructed the tube, and now needed ammo, adapter for the Warthog turret, and something to reinforce the cannon. But it was possible to construct a hastily made round out of things found on the ground. But 63 knew he could get gunpowder from bullets, so he dug out as many weapons he could, took out a tool kit, and took out clips from their guns, and poured the gunpowder into a pile. Then, gathering metal supplies, he shaped the metal into a round. The round needed more damage, so he piled shrapnel, and several concussion rounds in the barrel of the round. The shell was ready, and the only thing left was a adapter, which 63 hastily constructed by adding a second rocket to the shell. The large purple ship was on the verge of landing. 63 climbed on the back of the Warthog, and started shooting the gun. 63 needed the gun to fire a considerable amount of bullets in order to launch the shell. Just as the purple ship was looking for a insertion point, the shell fired. It curved through the air, streaking toward the ship. Hitting in 3, though 63. And it did. But there wasn’t much of an effect. But then, a loud noise of something shearing apart was heard. The ship was broken in half, and it was going down fast. 63 knew he had to get there before any survivors could escape and fan out. So 63 looked for a vehicle other than the broken Warthog he was using, and spotted a scorpion tank. It looked great, just chunks of armor missing and a blown out gunner’s emplacement with a body in it. So then 63 remembered the speed hack the tank was capable of. Taking the hood off the tank, 63 tweaked the artificial intelligence in it, and it turned on again. The artificial intelligence then said in a monotone voice “Now increasing speed to 500.94 MPH.”
The tank shot forward and braked in front of the slowly falling ship.
