Brave New World, part 1
The explosion from the rocket ignited the Plasma ammo in the ship, which shredded the bulkheads, collapsing the ship. The Covenant simply killed each other to avoid surrender, and the smell of burning plasma spread throughout the battlefield, and it leveled the bunker, the surrounding forest, and incinerated any living material. The survivors cheered while the Spartan powered down.
Major lacerations detected. Dispensing biofoam.
Heartbeat detected, activating life support.
Sending distress signal, protocol Alpha Kilo Foxtrot.
“Wake up, you meatsack!”
63 jerked awake. He pulled out his comm pad, and it was way outdated, because the date and time were way out of sync, making them useless. “Oi Jenkins! Time since last contact:”
“30 years, 2 months, 1 hour, and 30 minutes.”
“Did we win?”
“We won, but at a cost.”
63 sighed and stood up, wobbling around. He spit out his gum which was covered with grit and dust, and he asked Jenkins how he survived.
“Put you in armor lockdown, deployed a special barrier on your head, spammed Highcom with rescue messages.”
“Aight G, les get to it.”
63 found his cracked and scratched helmet, and strapped in. He unclipped his Socom, reloaded, and went on patrol.
63 found yet another recruiting computer, he repeated the same steps to get himself out of this pickle, he plugged some wires and inserted a data chip, sending out a distress signal. But suddenly, a Jump Pack Brute hopped up and threw a Spike grenade at him, but 63 caught it and the surprised Brute tried to fly away, but 63 stuck the grenade to its jetpack and it blew, splattering the Brute and sending it flying. A Elite jumped down and stabbed the screen of the computer with it’s energy sword, electrocuting it and dropping its shields. 63 dueled with it, returning fire, until his weapon was sliced in half and was useless. He was then slammed into the ground. He then activated his armor lock ability, and released a EMP blast that blew the Elite into a Plasma battery, which blew it up. 63 , thinking he had survived, didn’t notice a Arbiter uncloak and slide up behind 63. The huge thing deployed its energy sword and took a large swing towards 63, missing him by a hair’s length. 63 then threw a grenade into the Elites chest, taking out its shields, but this time the Elite disappeared, and jumped 63, and throwing him into the computer. The Elite said “Like the rest of your race, weak and undisciplined.” 63 told the Elite “Look me in the eye when you say that.” The Elite said “As you wish.” The Elite picked up 63 by the neck and prepared for the killing stroke, but then 63 said “Oh no! Call a medevac!”
The Elite, laughing, told his grunts the joke, but 63 then said “But not for me.”, and stuck two plasma grenades in the Elite’s mouth. The Elite freaked out, and then blew his own grunts up. 63 chortled and walked on.
