Tics? Help

Hi again! Just a reminder, as some people might not have seen my post, but I was Monkeymad60, then CoralSophie08, now ~purple~. 

Anyways, I have something... troubling to talk about. Tics. I know not a lot of people have heard of them, so here's a definition (source: https://www.uwhealth.org/healthfacts/neuro/7435.pdf)

Tics are brief, sudden movements or sounds. They may happen at random times and many times each day. A tic is hard to stop, but you are awake and aware during a tic. Tics do not cause you to lose consciousness.

so yeah. I've been getting vocal tics and tic that cause me to move my neck suddenly. I've discussed it with my therapist, but I am unsure how to tell my parents about then.

A bit of background on this:

• They began a few weeks ago, and haven't stopped.
• The most common one is jerking my head back quickly.

I don't know if anyone else struggles with these, but they make me exhausted. I'm also not sure if it's just in my head.

Hey. So one of my friends has tics as well, so i know, even from an outside view, what it is like. I have research them a bit. Suppressable, but not easily, and when you have vocal and motor tics it is Tourette's Syndrome, which is (likely) what my friend has. In order for them to be diagnosed, they have to have been going on for at least a year from what my friend has been told. I know they are not comfortable, but i don't know what to say to help. If you have a therapist, then go that route, get help from him/her/them.

I wish I could help but I don’t know anything about tics except what they are. I am so sorry. And again wish I could help.

My friend gets anxiety tics, they don’t really go away and I’m not sure if there’s anything you can do about it, but I do know with meds and therapy they can be reduced.
