so. um.

I (somewhat) came out to my parents recently after three years of hiding in the closet. I’m an AFAB aromantic who would like to transition to she/they.

turns out, my mom feels neutral about LGBTQ and everything even remotely related to the subject, and my dad is nonsupportive. (He’s not disapproving, but “personally doesn’t agree with the lifestyle”.) They’re trying their best after I came out with my aromanticism and have attempted to be supportive so far, but I’m wondering if I should ask them to address me as “she/they” as well. Would that be pushing it, and should I wait/stay quiet?
