The Harry Potter Series: A simply amazing series of books about a boy named Harry Potter, who discovers he is a wizard at age eleven and attends a wizarding academy where he makes friends and enemies, discovers secrets, learns spells and how to make potions, and goes through trials of courage as he attempts to defeat the dark wizard he murdered his parents, Lord Voldemort. Internationally famous.
Little House On The Prairie Series: These books make great read aloud. They tell about the author's childhood in the 1800's with her family and she pleasures and sorrows they really went through.
The Narnia Series: These books deal with different people in each edition, but are set in the magical land of Narnia, where fauns, talking trees, and evil witches roam.
The Divergent Trilogy: For older readers. Set in future Chicago, Beatrice Prior is faced with a choice that decides the rest of her life. Her friends, her enemies, her allies, and where she belongs.
The Gallagher Girl's Series: Cammie Morgan and her friends are normal teenage girls. Except for the fact that they're super geniuses and attend a school where they train to be spies!
Little Women: This is a classic. While maybe for older readers, this book can be enjoyed by all. It tells about the life of four sisters: the feminist and tomboyish Jo, the prim and proper Meg, the sweet and lovely Beth, and very unforgettable Amy.
The Percy Jackson Series: These books are about the adventure of Percy Jackson, who isn't human like you and me. He's half Greek god!
