The whole update situation surrounding Kidznet has been communicated poorly at best. KidzSearch staff gave me the impression that the platform would be an updated social network, but they were also very vague and closed about the situation and didn't give much detail. I was under the impression that the old posts would also be transferred. I had 4 years worth of posts and so many memories that I can't engage in anymore. All my friends were lost too, Including old users who have since left the platform. I had a bunch of epic groups and funny private messages. I even had 120,000 points that weren't transferred.
Kidznet was down for long periods of time this month, as Kidzsearch began rolling out the update. When the update was finally released, I was shocked. All the social features were gone. It was very misleading because the name kidznet implies that it is a social network. I don't really know what the new version is supposed to be, but I do know that it is the farthest thing from social media.
After backlash from the community, KidzSearch refused to listen to their userbase and reverse this. I would rather have a slow, clunky website than a plain blog devoid of the community that we once had.
