So I’m for real getting a diagnostic adhd test, not just saying, oh, it should happen next week, lol. I know it’s been almost a year since i first thought, and it’s definitely been tough but I’m pushing though. Post-test, I might get something neurofeedback therapy, which honestly scares me a bit as they have to connect electrodes to your head which meds with your brain and stuff, or i might get meds, which while i know it’s not ideal scares me a lot less than the idea of nft. I’ve been having a tough time with digital school, I had a lot of late work but I stayed up last night and finished it, so that’s good. It’s been a long journey and i know that although my focus issues will never fully go away, I can learn to thrive with them. From going to a therapist and getting an armchair diagnosis (which, no offense to anyone, isn’t super valid), to going to this weird place who basically just asked me questions from a checklist and then said they could prescribe me meds, to the therapist I have now who really cares about me and is helping me find treatment. If any of y’all are going though this right now, know it will get better, this too shall pass. And remember I’m always here with suggestions and stuff if you need it or just want to talk!
